St. Paddy’s Day signals the impending arrival of spring, not to mention plenty of themed food and drinks–from Irish soda bread to Bailey’s cocktails (and beyond). Whether you’re hosting or heading to a party this year, Lucky Charm Rice Krispie Treats are a definite upgrade from green beer and make for fun St. Patrick’s Day treats everyone will love. Plus, they’re a breeze to whip up; no luck needed!
These, er, charm-ing bars require just five ingredients and about 15 minutes to make, and they’re made the same way as classic Rice Krispie treats. The only difference: using Lucky Charms instead of the standard Rice Krispies cereal! We’re also adding a splash of vanilla and a pinch of sea salt for depth of flavor.
Besides tasting magically delicious, these treats are so fun and festive with all the bright, colorful marshmallows! Depending on how many you’re serving, slice them into nine generous bars, or smaller to stretch the yield to 16.
Lucky Charms Rice Krispie Treats are a great make-ahead St. Paddy’s Day snack and they’re fun to share with anyone and everyone. Scroll on to get the full recipe–and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
