These, er, charm-ing bars require just five ingredients and about 15 minutes to make, and they’re made the same way as classic Rice Krispie treats. The only difference: using Lucky Charms instead of the standard Rice Krispies cereal! We’re also adding a splash of vanilla and a pinch of sea salt for depth of flavor.

Besides tasting magically delicious, these treats are so fun and festive with all the bright, colorful marshmallows! Depending on how many you’re serving, slice them into nine generous bars, or smaller to stretch the yield to 16.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup + 6 Tbsp salted butter (22 Tbsp total, or 311 grams)
  • 9 and ½ cups Lucky Charms cereal
  • 9 cups mini marshmallows (15 ounces)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

Step 1:

Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper. (Spray it with nonstick spray first to give the paper something to stick to, so it doesn’t jump out of the empty pan.)

Step 2:

Melt the butter in a large dutch oven over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows. Stir constantly, until the marshmallows are completely melted into one cohesive mixture (none of the individual marshmallows should be visible any longer).

Step 3:

Quickly stir in the vanilla and salt, then add the cereal and stir until everything is very well combined.

Step 4:

Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Let set for 1-2 hours before cutting and serving.

Step 5:

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temp for 4-5 days. This recipe can also be cut in half and made with an 8×8 pan if you want a smaller yield.
