Kir Royale Cocktail Recipe
We’ve been in the mood for a fall refresh, which not only includes our wardrobes but cocktails as well. Autumn seems to have a more sophisticated and sultry feel, and the Kir Royale is a classic French cocktail that’s simply the perfect fit for the season. The Kir Royale can be made with a variety of other berry and fruit liqueurs, but with early autumn settling in, we chose in-season blackberries, and Crème de Cassis – a black currant liqueur. This drink is light and bubbly with a rich berry flavor … not to mention incredibly refreshing! Topped off with juicy blackberries (or raspberries!) for garnish, you’ll be enjoying this drink throughout the season.
Ingredients
(makes one cocktail)
- 1/2 oz. Crème de Cassis
- 3 oz. French champagne or sparkling wine
- Blackberries for garnish
Directions
Simply pour the two liquids together in a champagne flute, top with blackberries, and enjoy!

I’m a bartender and building a bar in my new home. I can’t wait to serve these at dinner parties. Simple and yet still garnished. Classy.
