Why choose one nail polish color when you can choose multiple hues? Different color nails are one of the most popular beauty trends of the year. The most recent Instagram trend takes the nail-color swatches look on individual fingers–also known as a paint chip manicure or Skittles manicure–to another level of minimalism.
mismatched pink and orange manicure with different color nails on each hand
Wearing different colors on each hand creates a complimentary look that is easier than ever. This mismatched nail art look only requires two shades and the choices for your palette can be combined however you like! Try this pretty sunset-hue combo and don’t forget to pair with stacking rings or delicate gold jewelry!

Sunset-Inspired Mismatched Nails

Supplies:

  • Punchy orange nail polish (I used KB Shimmer’s Papaya Don’t Preach) a
  • Blush pink nail polish (I used Nails Inc’s Chiltern Street)
  • Top coat (I used Essie Gel Setter top coat)

Instructions:

Step 1: Create this pretty, muted tangerine orange and blush pink combination by painting two coats of each color on your right and left hand.

Step 2: Let each coat dry for about five minutes after application, and remember to use a quick dry or high-gloss top coat.

Step 3: Don’t forget to add cute rings to add some detail to your minimal look!
