Walking down the aisle this season? Congrats! Early fall is one of the most popular–and beautiful–times to get married: the weather, the foliage, it’s all just made for saying “I do.” Once you’ve found your dream autumn-worthy wedding dress, it’s time to decide on the rest of the details, including your bridal hair and fall wedding makeup.
In any season, the ideal wedding makeup enhances your features without distracting from them. Natural shades like bronze, brown, (your version of) nude with a hint of pink–they all nod to the season and let your natural beauty shine through. To help you look like the best version of yourself on the big day, check out my bridal makeup tutorial step-by-step below!

Step 1: Prep your skin before doing any wedding makeup! Pamper yourself with an eye and face mask, then follow with an eye cream, oil-free moisturizer, and long-wear primer.
Step 2: After your primer has time to sink in, apply a layer of ultra long-wear foundation (avoid any with SPF in them). You can apply another layer if you are going for a more full-coverage look. The key here is to work in thin layers!
Step 3: Go ahead and apply a full-coverage concealer under your eyes and anywhere that needs extra coverage. You’ll want to set this right away with a setting powder for an extra bright-eyed look. Set anywhere else on the skin that you tend to get shiny!
Step 4: Apply bronzer to the outer perimeter of the face–anywhere the sun would naturally hit you! After bronzer, pop a mid-tone blush on the apple of your cheeks, followed by a soft golden highlighter. This will make your cheekbones pop in wedding photos and give you that bridal glow!
Step 5: Next up: fall tones on the eyes! Start with a super warm nude shade all over the lid and lower lash line. Use any small dense brush to really pack on this shade.
Step 6: To finish the eyeshadow, follow with a deeper, but still warm, shade and buff this into the crease with a fluffy brush. You can also add some dimension to the look by adding this to the top and bottom lash line.
Step 7: Next, add black liquid liner–the key here is to start small and add length according to your eye shape and personal style. (Waterproof is key here if you’re a crier!)
Step 8: Grab your favorite mascara, in the waterproof version, and apply 2-3 coats. For the lips, you’ll want to start with a moisturizing balm and then add a natural/brown lip liner. Top it off with a long-wear lip stain (kiss-proof!) and a pretty pinky gloss.
Step 9: Spritz your skin with a long-wear setting spray and you are all ready to walk down the aisle!
