It is officially spring, and the weather is finally feeling warm enough to pack a picnic and head outside! Nothing says spring (and summer) like spreading out a blanket and relaxing with some noms–but, now, what to bring to a picnic?

Well, once you’ve thrown on a cute outfit (I’m wearing Lulus’ Sweet Pea Style White Floral Tie Strap Tiered Mini Dress) you’ll just need to pack a few simple things to create the perfect picnic in your backyard, park, or beach!
What to Pack for a Picnic:
Picnic Supplies:
- Picnic basket
- Blanket or sheet to sit on
- Napkins
- Flowers
- Reusable cups and plates
- Portable speaker to listen to music
- Deck of Cards
Foods to Pack:
Sandwiches: You can of course grab one from your local deli or make your own. I love to do a homemade tomato, mozzarella, prosciutto, and pesto sandwich on a fresh baguette, then individually wrap each sandwich with parchment paper and use twine or ribbon to tie a bow around each sandwich. The presentation is so fun and sweet–plus, the parchment paper leads to easy cleanup!
Picnic Plate: If you know me, you know I always have to find a way to bring a cheese plate, and using a glass container is the perfect way to pack a small picnic plate. For mine, I used grapes, St Andre Triple Cream Brie, strawberries, and fresh apricots.
Snacks & Dessert: Using smaller glass containers, I also packed some crunchy carrots with hummus, clementines, and daisy cake desserts!
Drinks: Wine is a fabulous option for a picnic but if you want to opt for a nonalcoholic beverage, I love to bring sparkling lemonade to enjoy on a hot day!
While you relax and enjoy your picnic, I love playing a little music and bringing a deck of cards.
