You can, of course, scale the recipe up or down as needed–make a whole pitcher full if you’d like! Or, make a single cocktail for yourself on a weeknight to sip on your porch while watching the sunset (sounds delightful, right?). You don’t need a special occasion just to make these mojitos.

Start by muddling fresh blueberries with freshly squeezed lime juice, torn mint leaves, and a little sugar in the bottom of each glass. Then, top with rum and club soda. Finish it all off with some ice and a sprig of fresh mint!

If blueberries aren’t your jam, you can certainly make this with another berry–try blackberries or raspberries instead! And, if you want to turn this into a mocktail, try using your favorite fruity soda in place of the rum. You can also try strawberry, blackberry, or lemon-lime soda instead of blueberry soda.

Now sit back, sip on your Blueberry Mojito, and watch your friends be impressed with your mixology skills! No one needs to know how easy these cocktails were to make. It can be our little secret. Happy sipping!

Blueberry Mojito

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Yield: 3 drinks

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup fresh blueberries
  • ½ cup fresh lime juice (about 3 large limes)
  • 6-8 large mint leaves
  • 6 tsp granulated sugar
  • 4 ½ to 6 ounces rum
  • Club soda, to top
  • Ice
  • More fresh berries and mint, to garnish

Instructions:

Step 1: Divide the berries evenly between three glasses. Add 3 tbsp lime juice to each glass.

Step 2: Roughly tear the mint leaves and divide them between the three glasses. Add 2 tsp sugar to each glass.

Step 3: Use a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon to muddle these things all together, making sure to smush the blueberries so they release their juices.

Step 4: Add 1 ½ to 2 ounces of rum to each glass, then top with a splash of club soda and ice.

Step 5: Garnish with fresh berries and sprigs of fresh mint. Enjoy!
