holiday drink recipes: cranberry pomegranate bourbon smash

‘Tis the season for festive holiday drinks–and this Cranberry Pomegranate Bourbon Smash is absolutely delightful (for the eyes, and for the taste buds!). This cocktail may not be the most traditional bourbon smash, but that’s the great thing about cocktails: they’re super customizable. You can always tweak the ratios of bourbon to juice a bit to fit your own taste!

I also chose to add club soda to make this a more holiday drink recipe–because I think a fizzy finish to a drink is absolutely necessary this time of year. If you don’t have any on hand, feel free to skip it. If you don’t have a drink shaker, you can stick your glass in the fridge or freezer (just don’t forget it’s in there!) before making your drink, to ensure everything will be nice and chilled.

I wrote this recipe to yield just one cocktail, but it’s easily doubled (you can even double it twice).  It’s also perfect for when you just want to cozy up by the fire and sip something easy and festive, so perhaps let it be your holiday gift to yourself! Pop in a good movie, and kick back with this cocktail.  Just scroll on for all the instructions and I hope you all have a very wonderful, merry holiday season. Cheers!
