True story: Pale pink and gold nail designs are perfect for bridal manicures. Why? Well for starters, they’re subtle, pretty, and glam–and they won’t detract from your overall wedding look. For something chic and more unexpected than a classic french mani, these blushy nude nails with gold glitter borders are just what the modern-meets-retro bride ordered.
This simple pale pink and gold nail art evokes an antique brooch look that is sheer romantic minimalism–and so easy to recreate. The blush-hued glossy base and the delicate gold border are an ideal combo for vintage-loving brides, as well as bridesmaids, and even guests who want to try a subtle take on nail art with glitter.
The uneven glitter border adds a foiled look around the edges for a sophisticated, elegant statement. If you’re looking to DIY this look for your big day (or your pre-wedding events!), it’s super simple–and perfect lines aren’t required. Try this gilded nail art for your next big event with the steps ahead!

Pink and Gold Nail Designs with Glitter Border

Supplies:

  • Sheer ‘nude’ or blush nail polish (I used OPI’s Bubble Bath)
  • Triangle-shaped makeup sponges
  • Gold glitter nail polish (I used Smith and Cult’s Shattered Souls)
  • Glossy top coat (I used KB Shimmer’s Clearly On Top Quick-Dry Top Coat)

Instructions:

  1. On a clean nail, paint 1-3 layers of your favorite sheer ‘nude’ or blush shade.
  2. After the base color is dry, dab some chunky gold glitter polish on the tip of a triangle-shaped makeup sponge. Apply in a curve around the tip of the nail as shown, and repeat one or two more times while letting each border layer dry for a couple of minutes.
  3. Seal your nail art with your favorite glossy top coat.
