Do roots, grown-out cuts, or lackluster hair color have you itching to get back in the salon chair? If you’re in between stylist appointments, try using that extra length for some fun new styles you wouldn’t normally be able to do!
I love a lob, or long bob, hairstyle. The shorter length of a lob is easy to care for, doesn’t take forever to style, and reads effortless cool girl. The only downside is when you want to throw your hair up into a cute and messy bun, the short length can be a problem. Here, I’m showing how to use the extra length to achieve the perfect fun bun!
Lob Messy Bun:
Instructions:
- Gather hair into a high ponytail, pulling down pieces in front, by ears, and in back as desired. If too much falls down in back, gather excess, twist the section, and bobby pin up into style)
- On last pull through the elastic, only pull half-way through
- Grab outer 1/3 of half bun and pull just that section all the way through
- Wrap that section around the pull-through bun and pin into place
- Quickly bend pieces around the face with iron if desired
