The Ultimate Mom Hair Hack: An Easy Ponytail Hairstyle for Mamas Who Have No Time

For lots of new moms, one of the first things to change is your “mom hairstyle.” You want something cute, quick, and easy– and a look that can be tucked away out of the reach of curious little hands! For lots of moms, that means wearing your hair in a bun. So today, I’m going to show you a super quick and easy way to dress up the mom bun–with a long ponytail extension!

This is one of my favorite easy hairstyles for moms. Not only is it a fast ponytail hack that looks great, but it’s perfect for anybody with a newborn. Plus, it only takes a few seconds and only requires one hair extension and a bobby pin!

Long Ponytail Extension Hack:

Supplies

• Hairbrush
• Hair elastic
• Bobby pins
• Hair pomade or hair gel (optional)
• Long ponytail hair extension (I used one from Insert Name Here)

Instructions

1. Put your hair in a bun and secure it with bobby pins or a hair elastic. To prevent flyaways, you can smooth the top of your hair with pomade or gel.
2. Clip the ponytail extension to the top of the bun. 
3. Wrap a piece of hair around your bun, then secure the wrapped hair with a bobby pin.

And that’s it– it’s that easy! With this super easy ponytail hack, you can transform your mom bun into a fabulous long ponytail for a night out. You deserve a break to go out and do something fun, and you deserve to look good while doing it!
