Supplies:

  • Wide-barreled curling iron or hot tool 
  • Paddle brush
  • Hair elastic
  • Bobby pin
  • Optional: Topsy Tail tool for flipping the ponytail

Instructions:

  1. Starting with the hair, gently comb through your hair and apply a heat protectant.
  2. Once hair is tangle-free, section your hair and use a 1-inch curling iron to create loose, bouncy curls. The bouncier and more effortless looking, the better.
  3. Once hair is fully curled, section the front pieces and pin them up with a clip.
  4. Next, we are going to create a half-up, half-down ponytail. Gather the top half of your hair into a high ponytail and secure it with an elastic.
  5. Slide the elastic down slightly and create an opening at the base of the ponytail. From here, push the remaining ponytail under and through the opening.
  6. Once the ponytail is through the opening, pull the pony tight. Take the front pieces out of the clip, give them a loose curl, and tease the back pony to give more volume.
  7. Place the bow at the back of the hair to create that Barbiecore vibe. This added accessory creates an elegant and girly touch.
