Since you already got him the most perfect Father’s Day gift and wrote a loving message in his card, it’s now time to plan a fun-filled day. Even though Father’s Day might look a little different this year, that doesn’t mean that you can’t still spend quality time with your dad! From hiking to a custom beer tasting at home, these quarantine-friendly Father’s Day activities are sure to show the #1 guy in your life how much you care.

Read on for six no-fail ways you can celebrate Dad and create awesome memories with the family. Remember: Laughing at his corny dad jokes is required for this one day only.

1. Make Brunch

The best way to kick off Father’s Day (or any day for that matter)? Waking Dad up to the smell of bacon. Put together a hearty spread of all of Dad’s favorite foods. Try a french toast bake, or eggs, pancakes, and toast. Make sure the coffee is hot and the champagne is chilled if you want to get the party started early.

2. Get Outdoors

A great way to social distance and get outside is by going for a bike ride or walk. If Dad is adventurous, kick it up a notch. Hit the trails for a hike, or rent a boat and take him fishing. This will help everyone from feeling cooped up at home.

3. Head to the Driving Range

If you asked Dad what he would like to be doing on Father’s Day, the answer might be golfing. If you can’t aim a ball to save your life, suggest heading to the driving range. You need zero skill and Dad can get some practice in. It’s a win-win for everyone. If you do have the skills, or the patience to try and get the ball in the hole, book a tee time for you and Dad and have his clubs ready to go.

4. Do an At-Home Beer Tasting

After a day of activities outside, help dad cool off with a refreshing beer tasting. Pick up (or order online) a sampling of craft beers from your local store or brewery. You’re sure to share some laughs. Bonus: picking up the tab for Dad’s beers also works as a last-minute Father’s Day gift.

5. Have a Family Game Night

Bring out Dad’s competitive side and break out the games. The entire family can get involved whether it’s a puzzle, board game or one of Dad’s wild made-up games everyone typically refuses to play. This is a quarantine-friendly activity that the whole family will love.

6. Take It To The Grill

If the weather is nice, show off your grill-master skills and have a family cookout. If Dad insists on manning the spatula, offer to be his sous chef. This is a great way to get the family outside and off of their phones and try some new recipes or old favorites.
