
As much as we love a good workout, it can be hard to find time for a sweat session or try to do it on your own. Fitness apps and other virtual options offer the flexibility to squeeze in a workout of your choice, almost anytime and anywhere–i.e., workouts to do at home! On-demand classes are almost like having a personal trainer at your fingertips. No matter how you prefer to get your heart pumping, there’s an option that works for you! Here are some of our current favorites (some are even free!)—offering classes like HIIT, running, cycling, yoga, and more—that will erase that “I can’t go to the gym” excuse. It’s time to get moving–on your terms, of course.
These workout studios are now offering free ways to get your sweat on:

305 Fitness
Enjoy your own dance party — this dance cardio studio is offering free workouts on its YouTube channel. The workouts will be live-streamed every day at 12pm EST and available for repeat dancing after.
Barry’s Bootcamp
Barry’s Bootcamp is currently helping people stay fit with modified versions of their HIIT workouts. Twice a day, they’ll be hosting 20-minute full-body workouts on their Instagram account. After March 23, 2020, one of the daily workouts will be equipment-free and the other will use resistance bands.
CorePower Yoga
CorePower has a collection of free classes available through their On-Demand platform. Classes range from one to 60 minutes across a variety of levels, and new classes will be added every week.
Planet Fitness
The gym chain is offering free, daily “home work-ins” on its Facebook page and YouTube channel. These trainer-led workouts are 20 minutes each and live-streamed daily at 4pm PST/7pm EST, but they are also available on-demand afterward.
Rumble
Rumble Boxing is bringing boxing-inspired workouts to your home. The studio will be posting cardio and bodyweight workouts daily on Instagram Live. All workouts will stay up for 24 hours in case you miss the live class.
These apps offer all sorts of workouts to do at home:

FitOn
FitOn offers a variety of live and on-demand classes from notable trainers such as Blogilates’ Cassey Ho, Love Sweat Fitness’ Katie Dunlop, and Action Jacquelyn’s Jacquelyn Umof. Choose between dance, cardio, strength, HIIT, yoga, and pre/post-natal options. The workouts require no equipment and you can invite friends to exercise with you (or just cheer you on). (free, available on iOS and Android)
Peloton
Peloton is currently extending the 30-day free trial period to 90 days for the Peloton App (workout options include with or without equipment). This is available in the US, UK, and Canada.
You can still get the exciting Peloton experience without having to invest in a bike or treadmill with Peloton Digital, which has up to 20 live classes daily and thousands more on demand. Choose between cycling, running, yoga, boot camp, stretching, and more. For outdoor runners, Peloton also can track routes and metrics and has an 18-week marathon training program. ($19/month)
Fitbit Coach
Fitbit Coach uses your personal Fitbit data to customize a plan for you that includes workouts, content, tips, and more based on your goals. The app has video workouts and audio coaching sessions (you can access them straight from your wrist if you have a Fitbit Ionic watch). You can also choose your own workout soundtrack with Fitbit Radio’s seven different music stations. ($40 annual subscription, available on iOS and Android)
Aaptiv
Aaptiv provides trainer-led, audio-based workouts. There are thousands of workouts in the app with 30 new classes added weekly across 12 categories, including outdoor/treadmill running, strength-training, yoga, and meditation. Try a monthly challenge if you are looking to reach specific goals or a race training program to help get those miles in. There are also visual workout guides for strength-training exercises to show you how to use proper form and which muscles you should be targeting. ($15/month or $100/year, available on iOS and Android)
Tone It Up
From now until April 13, 2020, the Tone It Up app is free for new users. Download directly from the App Store and Google Play Store directly (not through ToneItUp.com/app).
Work out with Tone It Up founders Karena Dawn and Katrina Scott wherever you are! The app has over 100 guided workouts that range from 20-40 minutes, and more are added weekly. There are weekly schedules of live classes that work different muscles each day, and you can connect with other members of the community within the app. ($13/month for monthly access, $7/month for yearly access, available on iOS and Android)

ClassPass Live
ClassPass Live allows you to cast and track your workouts via a starter kit, which includes Chromecast and a heart rate monitor. During the classes, you can see your real-time metrics on screen and how you rank on a leaderboard. There are cardio, strength, barre, yoga, and even express (20 minutes or less) options if you’re pressed for time! ($19/month standalone, $10/month for ClassPass members, available on iOS and Android)
Asana Rebel
Asana Rebel focuses on “yoga-inspired fitness”—there are guided yoga workouts to do at home as well as other workouts (like HIIT or burpees) that incorporate yoga elements. Choose from five different themes: fat burn, strength, flexibility, balance & focus, and breathe & relax. (free, available on iOS and Android)
obé
Obé’s ‘80s-inspired, pastel-hued classes will automatically put you in a good mood–and that’s before you even get moving. There are over 14 live classes per day and another 500+ on demand; all of them are under half an hour (28 minutes to be exact) and include full-body workouts such as dance, sculpt, HIIT, yoga, and stretch sessions. ($27/month, available on iOS)
Nike Training Club
Get your sweat on with workouts inspired or created by Nike master trainers and professional athletes such as Serena Williams and Chloe Kim. The Nike Training Club app is filled with guided video workouts of all levels, intensities, and lengths (some are under 10 minutes). You can train by type (endurance, mobility, strength, yoga) or muscle group (abs, glutes, etc.). (free, available on iOS and Android)
Glo
Find your zen with the Glo global network of instructors with pilates, mediation, and yoga classes. Whether you’re a fan of Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, or Restorative yoga, there’s a workout to do at home and instructor for you. You can go even deeper with your practice with programs, which are short series of sequential classes aimed to reach goals like deeper sleep, energizing your morning, and unplugging. ($18/month, available on iOS)
