I suggest you run, don’t walk, to your nearest supermarket to grab these exciting ingredients, and enjoy sipping on the Frozen Aperol Spritz. I promise it will be your new summer favorite.

What’s in the Frozen Aperol Spritz?

This boozy frozen drink is ideal for those sweltering hot summer days when just a swimsuit or breezy sundress will do–and luckily, the Frozen Aperol Spritz requires just a few ingredients. With this cocktail, there’s no reason to waste time traipsing around your supermarket for tons of complicated ingredients. Instead, pick up a few summer essentials like Prosecco, orange juice, grapefruit juice, ice, and Aperol!

If you’ve never tried Aperol, let me spill all the details about this liqueur: Aperol is a bright-orange, Italian liqueur that’s tasting notes are bittersweet. This specialty beverage has a low ABV and is typically used as an aperitif, which means you consume it before a meal. But it’s most notably known for being the shining ingredient in an Aperol Spritz. Pick up these exciting ingredients today for a burst of bright, exciting flavors!

How To Make the Frozen Aperol Spritz

The Frozen Aperol Spritz is super easy to make: Seriously, just add together your five ingredients and get to sipping! There’s a bit of prep work with freezing the citrus juices, but I promise you, it’s well worth it when you taste the outcome.

Once you’ve gathered your ingredients, add the orange juice and grapefruit juice to an ice cube tray and freeze for 4-5 hours or until frozen solid. You can mix the ice cube tray with half OJ ice cubes and half grapefruit ice cubes or you can combine the juice before and then add the orange juice/grapefruit juice mixture to your designated ice trays. Either way, allow enough time for them to fully freeze.

Some notes to take into consideration: alcohol tends to melt ice quickly, so make sure to blend these babies up and enjoy them immediately (and responsibly). Also, if you’re with a group of people, this recipe can easily be doubled or tripled to serve everyone! Yay!

This drink is incredibly versatile! Blend it up for a crowd-pleasing cocktail at laid-back summer gatherings or pre-wedding festivities like bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and bachelorette parties. Bonus: This Insta-worthy cocktail pairs perfectly with a summer dress in a bright, citrusy hue!
