You’ve crushed it in class and nailed every single test this semester. It’s now time for spring break but there’s only one problem: Everything is through-the-roof expensive at this time of year! If that’s what you’re thinking, hold on! There are a ton of ways to have an amazing spring break on a budget. Curious to see how? Check out my list of cheap spring break ideas below.

1. Visit a national park.
Spring break is the perfect time to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and what better way to do this than by visiting a national park. If you live close to one, load up a car with family and friends and enjoy nature at its finest.

2. Pursue a new hobby.
You’ve probably had your eye on a passion project for months now but just didn’t have the time. Now that spring break is here, you can freely check out a class for it or watch a YouTube tutorial and start pursuing your passions.

3. Become a local tourist.
No matter how long you’ve lived in a place, there will always be new pockets to discover, new restaurants to try out, and new shows to see. Not only is this entertaining, it will also help you next time you’re hosting guests as you’ll now be the local expert on all things in your area.

4. Take a staycation.
Forget Myrtle beach. Sometimes your body just needs a break and there’s no better way to do so than a staycation. Home can be just what your body needs to reset and get ready for new and exciting adventures with school or work.

5. Indulge in a spa day.
If there’s one thing you can never go wrong with, it’s a spa day. If you’re looking for some real R&R, there’s no better way to get it than through massages, soft music, and a phone that’s switched off.

6. Watch a show or catch up on your favorite series.
You might think Broadway in NYC is the only place with shows worth watching, but nothing could be further from the truth. Many smaller cities have their own local productions either in theaters or through a traveling tour group that can be a ton of fun! Spring break is also a great time to catch up on your favorite TV series that you just haven’t had the time to. It’s a great week to just do Netflix (and chill).

7. Go on a picnic.
Sometimes, it’s the simple things that do the trick. Picnics are a great way to have fun with friends and family while saving money too! Load up a basket with some fresh food and drinks, pack some good games, and oh, don’t forget your frisbee!

8. Plan the ultimate spring break party.
Did someone say pot luck? Spring break is the perfect time to play host or hostess and invite a ton of people over for a fun, food-filled pool party. Who can resist? Make it a party to remember by throwing in other fun activities such as ping pong or poolside rock climbing.

9. Read a book.
It might not sound like the most exciting plan, but a book can be just what your brain needs to tune out of everyday hustle and bustle into its own creative zone. Why not treat yourself to a nice cappuccino and captivating book you just can’t put down?

10. Live rent-free as a house sitter.
Sometimes unique opportunities may present themselves that may end up being a great deal for you. Perhaps you have family or family friends traveling over spring break who are looking for a house sitter–do it! Not only is it free accommodation, it’s also a great opportunity to explore a new area while living rent-free!

I like travel, too. I plan my travels myself.
For me, the best vacation is travel. I like to travel to European cities. I’ve been to Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic. I loved Prague. I was there in October. There are many fascinating excursions in Prague. These are not expensive excursions. But these tours are very exciting. I especially liked the prague dinner river cruise with jazz https://prahatrip.cz/restaurant-boats/jazzboat
Undoubtedly, Prague jazz boat evening cruise is a great alternative to dining in a crowded restaurant.
One of the most driving and memorable ideas is surfing. We have already bought all the necessary equipment here https://easy-surfshop.com/, so this activity does not require any investment, just good weather, waves and mood!
