Hey! Ashley from Sugar and Cloth here again with another glam yet modern DIY project for your home or office, or even for your next party! This time around you get to add just the right amount of sparkle with a DIY jumbo sequined monogram.
I think this project would be perfect for just about any celebration or statement piece, and use you use the same steps to spell out an entire name or create any size letter you want just in case jumbo isn’t exactly your style.
Materials
- Paper mache letter (you can find them on Amazon for cheap! I used this one)
- Hot glue gun and glue
- About 9 yards of sequin trim (if you’re making the large letters)
- Scissors
All you have to do is make a stripe of hot glue about 5 inches long and place the sequin trim over top and press firmly. You’ll only do five inches at a time to make sure the glue doesn’t dry before you place the trim, and it’s easier to control this way.
You’ll go all the way around the letter as if you’re tracing and outline around it each time. To get around the curves and edges, just cut the trim and then glue an appropriately sized piece for that area.

This is amazing!!! When I first looked at the finished product, I thought, “No way, I can do this” but after reading the tutorial, and confessing that I am not a creative person, I think the easy directions and beautiful photos are a project I can achieve… love it!
