California Transparency in Supply Chains Act
Lulus is committed to providing customers with products that were manufactured using ethical and fair labor practices. In connection with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act, Lulus makes the following disclosures:
Lulus strives to work only with suppliers who are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for everyone manufacturing Lulus products. Lulus requires all of its direct suppliers to certify and warrant that they and their manufacturers will comply with all applicable laws, including wage and hour laws, and that they will not utilize child labor, convict labor, indentured or bonded labor, or labor obtained through human trafficking or slavery. All suppliers of Lulus products must agree to uphold our Vendor and Supplier Code of Conduct, and receive third-party training, at Lulus’ expense, on responsible production and human rights.
Lulus has engaged a third-party social compliance assessment and auditing firm to evaluate risks of human trafficking within our supply chain based on general location-based risk factors as well as specific information about the factories producing Lulus’ products. Lulus is working with this independent third-party auditor to conduct audits and verifications of factories for compliance with company standards and applicable laws. While these audits are announced in advance, Lulus reserves the right to conduct unannounced audits on all factories producing Lulus products. Depending on the severity of the auditor’s findings, Lulus will either enter into a corrective action plan with suppliers that are not meeting company standards or, if the violations are serious and/or not able to be corrected, will terminate the supplier relationship. Employees and management in the teams with responsibility for buying and production of Lulus products are provided training regarding slavery, human trafficking, and responsible sourcing. Lulus requires that its employees and contractors uphold company standards regarding slavery and human trafficking, and report to management any vendor, factory, or individual within the supply chain that they suspect is failing to meet such standards.
