Sweet scallop detail on black dress

Couldn't Get Size Right
I purchased this dress in a Medium, but it was a bit large (extra material in the back and chest), so I switched it for the small. The small mostly fit, but the slit came up too high. The material is a bit thin as well. Ultimately, I felt like the Small was too small and the Medium was too large, so they both went back :(Response from Lulus.com: Hi Lauren! Not flattering
The slit doesn't make the bottom part of the dress or the bottom part of the person look very flattering.
