Returning dress due to it not fitting

Beautiful wedding gown

Beautiful Dress
I love the dress. The website suggested a size small because I said I would like it to "fit" my figure. However, after receiving the dress and trying it on it is a size too small! I am a normal medium size in 99% of the items I order online. I should have gone with my gut feeling and just got a medium size. It definitely fits true to size. Sizing Runs Small
I am a true XL, and I ordered a 1X just to be safe after reading some reviews. The 1X was very tight and unflattering. For ladies with hips and a tummy, this dress is a big no-no. It leaves nothing to the imagination. I was really hoping to wear this for my wedding rehearsal and change into it at the reception, so it's a bit disappointing.
