Being a horseback rider, I wear a lot of boots, and I am a true 7 1/2 in a boot. I like my boots to fit just a little tight because you don't want your heel slipping. This boot runs a little large and wide and I do not have a narrow foot. With that said it can be fixed with a simple insert but if you do not want to have to purchase that I would go a half size smaller. The boot is a nice color and matches the picture.
