Great fit
For an inexpensive pair of shorts that you can only buy in a S,M,L size category (not based on your actual waist size), these are surprisingly great. They fit well, slightly large. They are also more stretchy so if you want a fit that is a non-stretchy cotton, these are not the ones. I wouldn't necessarily size down though. I got them final sale so I took a chance on the medium and I'm happy with the fit.
