Stretchy forgiving material
The material is good quality, it stretches, no need for shapewear, I didn't need it, the dress covered the belly area with the front twist it has, and the heaviness of the dress covered the back well enough. You will need to wear a thong or seamless underwear. I put a safety pin on the front, no padding, I used a strapless bra. But I was able to dance all night long, great, no fuss dress!
