Fit Runs Alot of Big not a "bit"

Odd fit on top for large bust
I am 5'-5", 143 lbs and typically a size 6 or medium. I have an hourglass figure, 34DD bust, smaller waist and larger hips. I ordered the medium in this and it fit great through the waist and hips but the top did not work for my large bust. The top angles from the underarm to the neck similar to a halter and sort of dips in along the way up. It's a beautiful dress but..
The dress fit great in every area but the chest. It was really loose so I had to get it fixed. But I loved it.
