Absolutely perfect!!
I'd never shopped at Lulus before, but I've seen ONLY good things about the website. I took a chance four days before my boyfriend's firefighter banquet and bought this dress with no intention of wearing anything else but this, and thank gosh I ordered it! So beautiful! Some reviews have said that is runs a little small, but keep in mind when you order that the letter size covers multiple number sizes. (: (Medium is 8-10). I'm a little bit stocky (a condensed torso, if you will) and was concerned that the length of this dress would exaggerate that - but it doesn't! It's a lot heavier than I thought. It comes with an outer layer and an inner layer for the skirt bit and the top bit is just the outer layer fabric. It was a little too long and dragging the floor so I had to get it hemmed. Took off 3-4 inches from the bottom so my feet would be seen maybe 2cm off the ground. So versatile!!
The fabric is heavy and double lined so nothing showed but the beautiful burgundy colour I chose. However, the material is also very stretchy so I would recommend if you're between sizes to try a size down. Mine was a bit large but no one noticed since I had it wrapped really well around my waist! Definitely feels formal and the bottom just hit the ground in my 3-4" heels. Slight damage but I loved it!
The dress fit snug around the hips. One of the ribbons was unraveling slightly, so I'm currently in the process of buying another. Snugness was the only problem and the versatility more than makes up for it. GREAT BRIDESMAID DRESS!
Bought this for my bridesmaid to try out and everyone love it! It has a hint of shine to the fabric so when you're walking outdoor with the sun hitting the dress, it makes the girls look really elegant! I love the fact that it is a convertible so they can wear it however they like. It is double layer so you can't see through the fabric. I will be purchasing 5 more for the rest of my bridesmaids!
