You need to fuss with the strings
I almost returned this because it looked awful on. Then I read in another review to tie it into a halter. I also pulled the elastic bit way down on my torso, and now it looks fabulous! Length is ok for tall gals.

Beautiful!
Love this dress for summer! It was also nice and beezy, not too hot for a maxi. But I felt it fit better (chest-wise, I'm small!) when I tied it as a halter... and then I just cut the two straps in the back off.
