WARNING!!!!
The skirt does not fit to your waist, as is shown in the model photo. The true skirt fits at the hips. I am the exact size measurements at a small and the skirt its about 2'' to big when I try to wear it like in the photo. The feel and quality of the skirt is really nice but the measurements are soooooo off.

Big around waist

Size down if you want that tight leather fit.
Based on the reviews, I bought a size XS and S to see which would be a better fit. I usually wear a size S and sometimes an M, but never usually an XS. The S was wearable, but because the material was "leather", I prefer a tighter look so I opted for the XS which still fit me.
