Too much fabric

Is mine made wrong?
So I order a large because it's all that left and I thought I could get it tailored.... I couldn't get this thing past my hips. I do have a bigger butt (been a soccer player my whole life) but I can't even get it up. I'm a size 4 on top and an 8 on the bottom. It legit had to made incorrectly. - Product Rating: 3 of 5 stars
Cute but a little big.
Really loose in the waist area. Doesn't look fitted like on the model but I'm 5'9" with a long torso so wouldn't want to size down. Might get it taken in or try wearing a belt with it.
