I ordered both a S and a M, and the small fit perfectly! The M would have worked also but there was a gap between my back and the zipper! I have an athletic build but thicker thighs and butt, so I was in-between sizing. I didn't want it to fit too tight or short since the fabric has no stretch but also not too loose where it didn't show my shape. Very short but very cute

I accidentally got a size too big because I didn't think the top would fit me. The good thing is that you can tie the back to adjust how you want it to fit so I was able to have a temporary fix. I wanted a simple black dress that I could wear out and this checks all of my requirements the tie in the back dresses it up a little and makes it feel more feminine and it looks great with a pair of red heels
