Beautiful dress, but does not stretch, nor do the straps

LOVE this dress
Okay, I've been eying this dress for a year. I finally ordered (in two colors I'd like to add LOL). It is adorable! I will day that it's a little more snug than other XL dresses from Lulu's that I've worn, but that might be from my new quarantine body. The back of the dress comes up higher than it looks on the model, but it's still really cute. The neckline has stitching holding it together, but I'm considering having those stitches ripped so... Difficult straps
Without modification it is very difficult to keep the straps up. Shipping is too difficult to return from Canada and I have already paid duty on the ordered items which would be difficult to get refunded so I'll just keep it and turn it into a skirt. Comfortable and easy
This dress is everything I needed. Purchased for a friends wedding and it was maybe the most comfortable dress I have purchased. Recently order it in green too. Can dress up or dress down very easily in this dress.
