Shimmery eyes are one of the upcoming season’s biggest beauty trends: It’s all about adding glitter, glimmer, and metallic makeup accents for Spring 2019. From the runways to celebs, this look is gaining major momentum–and it’s actually pretty simple to achieve on your own. Ahead, makeup artist and Lulus ambassador Deana Duka shows how to nail the trend with an easy 5-step shimmer eye makeup tutorial. Get ready to shine bright this spring!
Step 1: Start with your everyday base, like your favorite foundation, BB Cream, or concealer. Once you’ve applied your face makeup, and swept on a subtle blush, you’re ready to get to the glittery part!
Step 2: Sweep a matte neutral eyeshadow along the natural crease of your eyes. (Tip: you can use your favorite bronzer for this step!)
Step 3: Take a light, shimmery eyeshadow and press onto the lids using the tip of your finger. This helps the shadow glide right on and gives you maximum color payoff!
Step 4: Add a winged liner to amplify the look using your favorite felt tip eyeliner pen.
Step 5: Complete your shimmery eyshadow look by topping off a neutral lipstick with a soft nude lip gloss.
Now you’re ready to sparkle!
