Finding the right summer hairstyle for long hair can be an adventure. While it’s tempting to just throw it up in a ponytail or bun, there are moments when you crave a more elevated going-out hair look, especially for special occasions. Picture this: a dreamy summer date night, a romantic stroll with your favorite person, or perhaps an evening filled with music under the summer stars. Whatever the occasion, this hairstyle strikes the perfect balance between polished, romantic, and laid-back ease, ensuring you turn heads effortlessly.

You Will Need:
- Rattail comb
- Styling cream
- Ultra-hold hairspray
- Heat protectant
- Curling hot tool- use what you have, but I used a 1.6 inch curling iron for this tutorial.
- Optional hair accessories like clips or barrettes.
Instructions:
- Use a rattail comb to create a middle part with dry hair.
- Apply a flexible styling cream on the section of hair that you’ll be tucking behind your ears and gently comb down so that it stays in place.
- Using an ultra-hold hair spray, spray that same section of hair to manage flyaways and frizz. You want to use the strongest hairspray you have to fight the summer heat and humidity.
- If you’re using hair accessories like a clip, bows, or barrettes over your ear, add them now.
- Spray your length with heat protectant before you start curling it. This will protect your hair from heat damage.
- Using a 1.6 inch curling barrel, curl all sections of hair holding the barrel halfway to create a more natural-looking curl.
- For that extra oomph, hold each curl up for a few seconds.
- Brush through curls by gently running your fingers through your hair. Don’t pull too hard; you don’t want them to fall out! Let the curls gently settle into soft waves.
- Add any additional hair accessories like mini bows for a touch of something special, or leave your hair as-is for a subtle, graceful look.
