I wore this dress to see the opera and felt pretty in it! The light blue color is beautiful in-person, and the dress is lined and not at all see-through. I could have gone without a bra but chose a strapless bra for extra support. I am 5'9, and this dress was long even for me! This was a great dress for a black-tie wedding I attended. I hemmed it slightly myself with iron on tape because it was a little long. I'm 5'7 and wore short heels so it might be fine with taller heels. The bust area was a bit large but it was soooo nice that the straps are adjustable. That helped in that area. I was about 5 months pregnant, and it was soooo flattering, which is rare these days. I ordered a M, which is one size up from my usual. The only part of the dress that doesn't have any give is right under the bra line, so make sure that measurement is what you base your size on. Material is quite thick, but I wasn't overheating.
