It stays below the shoulder, or where you set it up, so I was not fixing the top every few minutes like it might happen at times with this style. Partner approved of it too. This jacket definitely runs big; I ordered a size down, and it was still quite loose. The corduroy is very soft, but it's also thin and has no real structure/stiffness. It has the vibes of a barn jacket but not the cut, which was hard to tell from the pictures. The pattern is really lovely, though.
