I read a lot of the reviews, and so many people said to size up, so I did, and I'm not happy because it's too big, so I honestly would say this is true to size, and the people who are saying to size up need to review their actual measurements because you clearly don't know. Since this dress is denim and has zero stretch, I worried it would be too tight in the hips since I have an hourglass shape, and my wide hips are usually the problem.
