The shorts are very short and run small. I purchased an XS initially. They were tight in the waist and too short to wear as anything other than beachwear. I exchanged for the small, which fit better in the waist and are slightly longer but still short. The small is not so short that I cannot wear. I am only 5'4 so taller ladies may want to steer clear.
