I loved this dress; I ordered both the XL and the XXL. The XL fit perfectly; I normally wear a size 12/14. If you have a larger bust (over DD), I would suggest sizing up to an XXL. Beautiful dress, fits almost like it was tailored. I have a wide rib cage, flat chest, no hips. It's snug but not too tight in the underbust and a little roomy in the bust (as opposed to my usual problem of way too roomy) in a medium. I have a similar dress from Lulus in a small, but sized up one based on reviews. Perfect.
