I'm usually a medium in all other clothing and a medium was what was recommended after completing their survey and it was way too tight. Which is too bad because the quality of the garment is good aside from the weird seam horizontal across the butt. I felt like the prettiest girl at the ball
This dress was the perfect item to wear for my friend's wedding. As someone who is 7 months postpartum, the overlay cape hid the places I am a little self-conscious about on my body. The cape was so much fun to dance with and kept me warm when it got cooler at night. The best thing about it, the grooms mother said I was the best dressed guest at the wedding. I love this dress! The velvet is a good weight and drapes nicely. Although I typically wear a Medium, this dress fits tight across the waist area, so I had to order a Large instead which fits perfectly. It's long so will have to be shortened but I'm only 5'3" so that wasn't a surprise. I ordered the Dusty Purple, and it is a beautiful grayish purple color, very flattering for anyone.
